detail: A new faculty member in the UCLA Department of Art, Jennifer Bolande’s conceptually based works include performance, installation, film, photography, sculpture, video, digital constructions, and animation. Bolande was awarded grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts for sculpture in 2001, and the Tesuque Foundation in 1999.

detail: Fernando Barenblit, born in Buenos Aires in 1968, is the Director of Centre d’Art Santa Mònica in Barcelona and has a finger on the pulse of the contemporary Spanish art scene. CASM focuses on the production of new work, processes and context through and an active program of solo exhibitions by international artists and a wide range of innovative public activities and research. Barenblit has curated a number of solo projects at CASM, plus the group exhibition “Irony” presented in 2001 at Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona and KMK in San Sebastian. Lecture is free, reservations required as space is limited.
