This exhibition selectively surveys contemporary art's representation of human responses to the second half of the 20th century. Featuring paintings, sculpture, mixed media, and works on paper produced in America and abroad from 1945 to the present, the exhibition is organized into five basic categories: explorations of life stages, creation of the self, identity and self awareness; order and disorder as manifested socially, psychologically, and aesthetically; spirituality and religious feelings; the pros and cons of love and sexual emotions; and the lure of adventure, journeying, and the contrary pain of exile. Through April 16th.
