detail: The second talk in the series focusing on collaboration, this event will explore the world of artist-created toys.
Limited-edition collector toys are a hot market right now as artists are being approached by toy makers to convert characters from their illustrations and paintings into three dimensional special edition toys. We will hear from creative masterminds Gary Baseman and Tim Biskup about their experience seeing their creations go from paper to vinyl by working with Conor Libby of Critterbox. We will talk about challenges and successes of these collaborations that are changing a world of toys for a kids in all of us.
